NAIL ART TUTORIAL #4: Summer Sunset

I adore Summer skies when you can see a different color pallete meeting the horizon every night. And so I decided to transfer the spectacle on my nails using colors that have tinted many twilights. The perfect duo of coral red which is already a gorgeous color to wear alone and toned-down lilac. Let's have a look.

Begin with cutting a sponge in the size of your nail.
I made a mistake by choosing a sponge used in houseware, it creates lots of air bubbles. Make sure to use makeup sponges, they are much softer and gentler.

Colors I used: Catrice "Pimp My Shrimp" and Essence "No More Drama".
Red represents the sun which is at the very line of the horizon and the lilac is the sky which takes over when the red vanishes. So red should go on the tip part of your nail.

Tadah! Now clean that all up. Don't wait till it dries on your skin.
The better you shape your sponge the less mess you get!

Add nailart of the beach which will make the whole mani look like sunset, not just ombre nails.
First, paint the very tip of the nail with black polish, this will be the shore line. Then draw a trunk of a palm tree.

Finish up the palm tree by adding palm leaves which are called fronds by the way. I did not know that. Don't forget some birds too.

Add the top coat and there you have it!

And a very exciting part of a tutorial post now. Lovelies who recreated the previous mani: Frilly Half Moons!!

Thanks so much to these artists: Alana, Rebecca who has recreated my every mani (!), this girl (ohemgee sorry I couldn't find your name!) and Islay who's a fellow nailart lover, check out her blog!

NAIL ART TUTORIAL #3: Frilly Half Moons

THURSDAY, MAY 30
FRILLY HALF MOONS

Hello beauties, here's the third nail art tutorial of mine!! I'm always so happy to do these. And this time I'm bringing you the Frilly Half Moons tutorial. I came up with this one myself unlike my other tutorials which I've done by being inspired of the nails I had seen somewhere. I struggled with the name of this mani, actually. Originally I was supposed to title this  Scalloped Edge Half Moons, but I came up with a lot simpler one and I like it better.

It's super cute and girly and all those things. I only did it on my middle and ring fingers, but when I think about it now, I should've done it on all of the nails! It would look a hundred times nicer I think. Anyways, here's a very quick and easy tutorial!

This is far too easy not to recreate, right? Gals be goin' cray cray about frilly socks, now go make a frilly mani!

Also! Have a look at girls who recreated my latest nail art of cupcakes and sweets!

Thank you so much girls!! Those who do my nail art are seriously the best!

So if you do the frilly half moons ar any other of my previous nail art, please do send a picture my way! I'm @rosylayers on twitter and instagram. (if you do not use these, you can always email me!)

NAIL ART TUTORIAL #2: Sickly Sweet Treats

M O N D A Y ,  M A Y  6

SICKLY SWEET

I'm so excited to be posting a new nail tutorial!! This is what I had on my nails last week and I loved it. It looks sickly sweet and delicious(?) well, beware, nail biters! Now let's have a look at this little tutorial ^_^

Some more instructions

Choose candy colors for your base and add some stripes.
Create dripping chocolate on some of your nails by choosing a brown polish of course. Make dripping white cream just as well!
Add colorful sprinkles on those.
Choose one nail that has stripes on it, we'll make it into a cupcake! Start with a frosting. To have that scalloped edge, use the tip of a bobby pin dipped in a white color. Once you have the frosting, decorate the cupcake.

And you're done. Have fun with this, you don't even need to follow the tutorial strictly. Hope you get inspired  by this and recreate it on your nails!

...

I'm beyond happy to know that there were people who did the floral nails mani!! It's from the previous and my very first nail art tutorial which is here.

Screams spring, doesn't it? Thank you beauties for sharing, I love what you've done! There were a couple more girls, but I didn't save their photos at once when they were posted, I'm so sorry!

If you do any of my nail tutorials, share a picture either on twitter or instagram. Tag me (@rosylayers) and also add a hashtag (#rosylayers)! That way your pictures won't get lost!

You have no idea how much it warms my heart to see people doing what I've created, seeing them inspired. This is literally the best feedback there could ever be. LOVE YOU SO MUCH

My weekly Mani Monday: dripping pink. I guess this is my favorite design that's been on my nails so far. What do you think? It's also super easy to do yourself, google/youtube it for tutorials.

My Monday in general hasn't been as pink as it seems. It might seem, judging by my pink rags. In fact I survived the biggest Monday blues today. There are only very few people I enjoy being with at school and I meet none of them on Mondays. So the school was quite a hell that I managed to through today.

Well I am finally home and ready enjoy anything not school related. Hope you all had a better day than me cause mine actually sucked to be honest.

So yeah, have a good week everyone (me including. I hope my week won't suck that much)
