MANI MONDAY ft. ALPHABET BAGS

hello mon cher reader. Thanks to my love for nail polish, I manage to be pretty consistent with Mani Mondays on my blog. Now that the Summer's here, I began to break out with vibrant colors on my nails. For the past week I've been wearing this subtle inbetween of hot pink and purple. If you had a look at my Summer Wishlist, you must have seen that this color's been listed there, so I'm one thingy down for my wishlist! 

I also want to feature the amazing Alphabet Bags in this post as I absolutely adore the "Lovely" pouch of theirs. I love that it's not limited to one purpose, it can function as a makeup bag, a casual clutch, a huge pencil case if you will... I haven't even decided what to use it for, so since most of my handbags are pretty big and I tend to lose things, I just put some of the stuff in this pouch and throw it in my bag. My e-reader, notebook, whatever sharpie I have on hand, etc.

Oh and how pretty are these jeans I thrifted earlier?! They fit me like a glove! And goes perfectly with this bright nail polish, don't you think? Going back to the nail polish, I gotta say I'm so pleasantly surprised by the quality of this one! I was never really drawn to Maybelline nail polishes, but when I was looking for my desired color only Maybelline had it! I can't wait to buy more Colorama polishes and see whether they have same effect.

MANI MONDAY

hello mon cher reader! It's been so long since I actually took time and put actual effort in doing a proper nail art! I've been wearing two colors tops for the past few months, usually just a single color. I'm really falling out of love with nail art. Weird, but I'm just not feeling it anymore. But I was so happy to get back into it last night when I was watching this video by the lovely and ever so talented Jenny Fox. She claimed this might be her favorite mani she's ever done! And it looks SO amazing, doesn't it?

I love how vibrant it looks, I can't stop admiring my nails now, haha! The thing I love the most is probably that at first sight it seems so complicated and difficult to do, but it's honestly SO easy. All you're gonna do is just just dot, dot, dot away. And if you don't have any dotting tools, here are some alternatives which work just fine.

What do you think of this design? It reminds of something, but I can't quite put my finger on it... Anyways, hope this Monday isn't too hard on you and if it is, just know that whatever obstacle you're facing, it's permanent. XX

MANI MONDAY

hello mon cher reader! Do you notice the slightly different design of Tres Queentastic? I'm in a middle of making a few alterations to the looks of my blog so this is not the final look (hence the mess with fonts), but what are your thoughts so far? I think the change in appearance has been overdue, I've been blogging here for over a year now and haven't changed it once! I do fancy this new direction towards which I'm going!

But the post isn't about it, as you can tell. Mani Monday, it's been a while! I'm kicking the week off with a pastelly gold duo of lavender and a shimmery shade painted over. You might remember that I was after a lavender nail polish in my Spring LUST LIST well I was lucky enough and found the exact shade I wanted. It's "Ice Ice Baby" from Essence, and the shimmery color is "Genie in A Bottle" from Catrice. 

I don't know what this design/technique is called, but I used the triangle-shaped stickers that come in a set of French mani stickers. I simply sticked one in a middle of my nails and painted the Catrice polish on the outer part of the nail. I'm obsessed with this color! Look at the bottle, it's so multicolored!

In my opinion - I'm made this unexpected color duo work! Pastels and gold go together so well. Leave your thoughts on this mani in the comments, see you soon!

I has glitturrrrr on my claws this week. Of all the polishes I own, glitter is at its finest when swiped over this blue almost black varnish. It's from Prestige in shade "Eternity". And this gorgeous glitter in silver is from Catrice. Now when I think about it, it'd look just rad painted over black, definitely doing that!

On the unrelated note, I miss wearing my hair down. I've been wearing high ponies and buns since mid November. Only that. I can't wait to get my bushy ends chopped off, get new clip ins and be able to let my hair down once in a while! Kinda miss the look...

MANI MONDAY

hello mon cher reader! Who doesn't love a fine piece of a Mani Monday?? Good thing I'm at your service to provide you one! So this week I'll have the cutest color combo ever invented - baby blue and pink! You can never go wrong with this pretty duo. Let's have a closer look.

The pale blue is from Catrice in shade "Play It Blue".

And pink is from Golden Rose in shade 128. 

Oh and the most adorable rose gold midi rings are from H&M, wore them for the first time today! Aren't they gorgeous?!

Now some positivity from me to you to cure those Monday blues...

The Twelfth of March

My bedroom painted in beautiful afternoon colors. Was painted. A couple hours ago.

I'm sorry in advance for these weird colors of today's pictures, even though my bedroom was lit so delightfully, I must have picked this strange time of sun setting and my photos turned out quite odd this time..

So yup, as you may have guessed, we're having sunny days here and that puts me in an exceptionally good mood as I've written a while ago - how sunshine affects my days. The only (and the biggest) downside is that sadly, the 4th month of winter is running. It's extremely cold (more than 10 degrees below the zero, crazy right?!) outside and the streets are full of snow and winter boots are kinda ruining my outfits ya know. I keep on wearing pastels and pastels only and I find it super weird putting these boots on everyday. (None of my outfit pictures here has them, so click this.) I can't wait to change these boots into oxfords or wedges or something and my parka into a trench coat. It literally breaks my heart seeing blogger's spring wishlists full of the nicest and lightest clothes... Can't cope with winter anymore!!

My new mint jeans I got last weekend makes me happy and my whole outfit kinda brightened the day. Alrighty, the day needs no brightening as the sun is literally blinding.

BELATED MANI MONDAY

 I made this à la Cath Kidston mani for the second time now and I'm kinda loving it! In fact, I didn't even plan CK mani for this week, this was supposed to be a completely different nail art, but I messed it up last Sunday and wasn't up for a second attempt. So I settled to this design mostly because it's fun to do, well I really like the process. Does it call for a tutorial? *shrugs* who knows! 

I know it's been a week now since I updated the blog, but what keeps me doing this is basically the ideas or some DIYs and recipes. I have a lot whirling in my mind and there's this one kinda sorta maybe DIY that Ill be sharing this week, I still need to get some stuff for that, but it is certainly coming up this week.

Meanwhile, I'll be blogging my days like I just did, lets just hope it interests and entertains (?) you in some kind of way.

Not Spring Enough

M O N D A Y ,  MA R C H  4

I had so many ups and downs recently, at times I questioned whether life could get any worse and when it actually did I begged for good things to happen because this is not how life's supposed to work. Not for me at least! I hate it when I let bad and annoying little (and big) things pile up. But yeah, this kind of Spring has started and a new week too, and just like every Sunday I tell myself I won't let that awful Monday get to me. I will chin up go through the day with my head held high. And I guess for the first time my optimistic way of thinking has worked. Today I woke up this exact though it my head: 

Thank goodness I was scrolling down the Tumblr last night and this might have stuck in my head. This morning was absolutely perfect. Too good to be a Monday morning! Sun was streaming through the windows so nicely, not that blinding midday sun, but soft and rosy and aww it was so easy to get up from bed. 

I watched the first episode of Community season 2 as I ate my breakfast. And after that my 'thanks' went to just the right amount of ocd I have (not really haha), I had my outfit laid out and planned from the night before. My peter pan collar dress had been adorned with pearls, a little diy I did on the weekend! Because why not cutify things?!

My dad drove me to school, the ew public transport has been avoided, hooray! And the school.. well it was bearable.

MANI MONDAY

Guess who made it through a whole month of No Nail Polish Diet! That's right, this girl. Can you hear me singing out  joy, I can paint my nails again! So many new nailart  is to come.

But now I've painted my nails this bright  pink, only because I wanted to try Rimmel so bad. The color is called  Strawberry Fizz. And  I am very satisfied, not only the color turned out great but it also smells fruity when it dries, how awesome is that?!

Even though it doesn't really match my recent pastel outfits,  I like  this bright burst of pink on my nails. Oh I will be buying so much more of Rimmel in the future, of that I'm sure. The  quality is  remarkable and worth every penny. Okay actually it's not pricey or anything , I've no idea why haven't I tried that before! And with that I shall leave you!

My weekly Mani Monday: dripping pink. I guess this is my favorite design that's been on my nails so far. What do you think? It's also super easy to do yourself, google/youtube it for tutorials.

My Monday in general hasn't been as pink as it seems. It might seem, judging by my pink rags. In fact I survived the biggest Monday blues today. There are only very few people I enjoy being with at school and I meet none of them on Mondays. So the school was quite a hell that I managed to through today.

Well I am finally home and ready enjoy anything not school related. Hope you all had a better day than me cause mine actually sucked to be honest. 

So yeah, have a good week everyone (me including. I hope my week won't suck that much)
